Art City Days 2008

Art City Days 2008 We've got heART !! The Duke Family loves the first full week in June. It means Shelbys birthday and Art City Days. Springville puts on a pretty good celebration for a small town.


This year since Allen is now the full time firefighter in town he got to wash and wax all of the ambulance and fire trucks!!! What a job that was. Here's the pictures to prove he did a great job!!!





This is Cheyanne, Amy Wheeler, and Shelby. They helped out at The Firemans breakfast and hambuger fry every day. Cheyanne loved running the register. This year she put more time in at the station than Allen. I even offered her a trip to the mall and couldn't get her to leave. Shelby on the other hand was more than happy to come with me.



Every year the family of the Firemen get new Fire shirts for the parade. Here is Cheyanne, Adison and Alex. Alex looks forward to these shirts all year long.




Adison was the best part of the parade. She has the wave thing down. Notice how she is on Allens shoulders. No princess should have to walk a full parade route!!!!





Here is my little princess again. At this moment she is saying "Mom, I'm not moving until I get some candy!" Look across the street and you will see the carnival. This year it was so packed that Adi and Alex got to go on 3 rides in 2 hours. Shelby and Chey are old enough that they ran around on there own so I'm not sure how many rides they got in. I got a lemonade out of the yellow shack and it was most delicious. Cheyanne and Alex did the Arts Fair and had tons of fun. then the four kids went to the museum and made lots of art projects. Even a clay bowl. Of coursw we did the Firemens breakfast each morning. Minus Cheyanne because she was basically running it. Then the Firemens fry in the evenings once again NO CHEYANNE. The kids and Allen were all in the parade. They even invited Brayden to come help throw out the candy. The finale was at the high school with the fireworks display. the kids had glow sticks and had more fun dancing with them then watching the fireworks.
